My Story... Briefly.
Hi! I’m Amber Swanson and I own Blue Spruce Gallery.
Blue Spruce Gallery began simply as a creative outlet. As I emerged from the chaos of having 2 kids under 2 And also dealing with my own long-term health issues, I needed something to call my own. With the mission to create beautiful, yet affordable art for women to wear, I have truly enjoyed hearing women’s stories and sharing my own experiences. My pieces are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces of art – just like the women who wear them.
My family includes my husband Jim and my two children, Henry and Rosemary. In November 2024, we moved from the suburbs to a dreamy mountain home in Conifer, Colorado. With the beauty of the mountains right outside our door, the inspiration to create immediately took hold and Blue Spruce Gallery was formally established in September 2025. Actually, Blue Spruce Gallery's name is inspired by the picturesque blue spruce that stands outside my front door.
What I thought would be a tiny side hobby, quickly exploded far beyond my expectations. Within 2.5 months, I sold over 100 pieces and have an ever-growing event schedule.
As a mom of young children, I understand the importance of regaining and redefining yourself after the infancy all-nighters, radical Change of Life stage, and the non-stop demands of babies, Toddlers, dinners, dishes, laundry, and household management. If another mom asked me about overcoming motherhood burnout, I would 100% point Them to creating something… and Of course Jesus! There is no need for prior experience when it comes to art - I had little to no background in painting but wanted to give it a try.
If I’m not painting Tiny Art, you can most likely find me Playing with my children, Tending my greenhouses, Competing in speed puzzling, or serving my church community.
